Mesmerized by The Millenium!

We love love love getting to know other wedding professionals! Even if they have nothing to do with the gown part (which most don’t), we can always relate to them because they know what it’s like to help brides plan their big days. It takes a very special person to be willing to take responsibility for someone else’s wedding day. Not gonna lie, it can be VERY stressful, but we love being a part of your big days and we find that most other vendors do too. That is definitely the case with Michelle and Ashley, the catering managers at the Millennium Bostonian hotel.

Michelle and Ashley stopped into the store a couple of weeks ago and offered to show us around their gorgeous hotel’s event space. We, being pretty much big kids, are always in the mood for a field trip so we of course took them up on their offer. So, off we headed, Starbucks in hand, over to the Millennium. First things first, the location is amazing! It is right in the middle of Faneuil Hall, so it’s a great spot for your out of town guests. There’s so much to do right outside the hotel doors; restaurants, the waterfront, shopping and more!

As soon as we walked inside we were taken aback by how modern and cool the lobby area was. The girls told us that the hotel went through a HUGE interior renovation a few years ago, and it shows! The lobby is adorned with lush fabrics and modern paintings, and it is absolutely perfect for some more editorial looking wedding photos (we’re even thinking of maybe doing a photo shoot there, it is THAT pretty). After drooling over the lobby, we got to see one of the suites. It was MASSIVE, with an absolutely stunning bathroom, huge living space and small patio overlooking Faneuil Hall. Basically, it’s the perfect place to spend the weekend of your wedding.

Then, we were off to see the main wedding space. First, we saw the open and airy cocktail area. It has an atrium like feel, with huge windows and gorgeous plants. The ballroom is right next to the cocktail area, and the huge windows continued there. Plus, it has three small patios for a little indoor/outdoor feel. The room is gorgeous, but also a blank slate. You can do anything with it! Plus, everyone is going to have their eyes on the amazing views so you definitely do not need to go overboard with your flowers/other decorations (also, they provide a ton of tea lights to really give the space some sparkle). Cutting back on flowers a little will certainly help with your budget, which we could ALL use (to get those Kate Spade shoes we’ve been eyeing, for example).

Great space and location aside, Michelle and Ashley themselves are one of the best parts about the Millennium Bostonian experience. One of them will be there with you almost your entire wedding day, making sure everything is perfect. They act as your day of coordinator, keeping your vendors on time and on task. Plus, they are there for you every step of the planning process. So, long story short, definitely keep the Millennium in mind for your wedding day! If you already have your venue, their space would also be great for a shower, rehearsal dinner, bachelorette party, and more!

Until our next field trip….
